Back to the world...

Almost completed 2 weeks here and it seems that I've been here much longer. News from the last post:
  • I left the hostel and I moved to the house where I'll be at till is time to return to Portugal
  • I've had the first night out - the birthday of Albert, one of the coordinators of my team
  • The last weekend, beyond the cupboards of change, was filled by walking from home to the place of my internship to figure out the best way (of course I got lost a few times)
  • Have attended three conferences at the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy:
  1.  “The MCCE Movement Against Electoral Corruption” with Judge Marlon Reis from Brazil
  2. "Soft Power, Smart Power, Twitter Gate and 21st Century Diplomacy" with the former U.S. Ambassador Cynthia Scneider
  3. "Youth unemployment in Europe and in the Middle East" with Emil Constantinescu, former President of Romania, Erhard Busek, former minister of Austria, and Nazar Al Baharna, former foreign minister in Bahrain.
Today was one of the free days we are entitled, excluding the weekends and was all about dealing with bureaucracies - the headquarters of the registration area of residence and the Portuguese consulate.
To have more information about the ICD you can always go to http://www.culturaldiplomacy.org/ or Facebook.
State of the situation: the work is tiring but very rewarding at the same time for all the people who have allowed me to know and the things I have learned. During the week there is not time for much else besides, now with the house situation resolved, next weekend promises.
Here are some more pictures. Coming soon will be more interesting.
